Over the last 3 years EcoLogic Builders has been working with its physician partners to design and construct Alberta’s largest privately funded non-hospital surgical facility to date. Alberta Surgical Group opened on November 14, 2022 and is the most significant example of private delivery of public procedures in Canada.

With a focus on Orthopaedic surgery including spinal, shoulder, foot as well as total hip and knee joint replacement, ASG has established a benchmark for private funding and delivery of public healthcare service. Working with its partners at Alberta Health and WCB to reduce global wait times for critical orthopaedic surgeries in Alberta, ASG has made a significant contribution in its first year of operations and is projected to complete over 3000 procedures from the public patient list.
